Lagos Begins Park Accreditation and Digital Manifest System

The Lagos State Government says it has  commenced an accreditation and digital manifest system for interstate parks in the state.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Oluwaseun Osiyemi, who announced the initiative at a news briefing in Alausa, Ikeja, said the accreditation and manifest would ensure safety of passengers.

Mr Osiyemi said with the digital manifest and park accreditation system, the paper manifest would be phased out, and the data collected would help the state with planning, while first responders would have accurate data of passengers during emergencies.

Mr Osiyemi said the project was a public private partnership arrangement at no cost to the state government while ensuring safety of passengers.

The technical partner on the project, Mr Olamide Afolabi, said the project would improve the physical infrastructure of parks including toilets and sitting area to meet the standard for accreditation.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transportation, Mr Wale Musa assured the people of the safety of their data.
